Get to know me!
About Me: I was born in Romania and am the second oldest of six siblings. I moved to the United States with my family when I was in 6th grade. I finished school here, attended college and am now working at Dream City Christian School. I am currently involved in my church where I teach Sunday School for kids with special needs. In my free time, I like to read, bake, swim and most of all, travel.
Background: I completed Elementary education in Romani and Middle and High school here in Arizona. I graduated for Peoria High school in 2012 and attended the University of Arizona where I graduated from in 2016 with a bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education.
How Long Have I Been Teaching: I first started working at Dream City Christian in 2016 as a full time preschool teacher. I taught preschool for two years and then switched to Kindergarten where I’ve been teaching for the last four years. I’m so blessed to be able to work in a Christian environment where not only to I teach the core subjects but also get to share the love of Jesus with my students.
How did I start teaching: When I was a little girl, I remember role playing with my siblings where I was the teacher and they were the students. I would make up tests and grade them. As I grew up, my love for teaching children never stopped. However, it wasn’t until my second year in college that I truly knew I wanted to be a teacher and that’s when I changed my major to teaching and pursued it!
Favorite Subject: I always loved school and didn’t really have a favorite subject, but if I had to pick, I would pick math.
Favorite Bible Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
Fun Fact: I am fluent in English and Romanian!
