About Me:
Hello my name is Jason Fleegle and this will be my second year as part of the Dream City Christian family.
Prior to moving over to Dream City Christian, I spent 16 years at Freedom Academy where I taught Junior High American History, Geography, and Civics. Prior to my time at Freedom Academy, I spent 5 years at Phoenix Christian High School.
Along with teaching I have spect 15 years coaching girls and boys basketball at various high schools around the valley.
My wife, Lindsey is a high school and college math teacher at Mountain Ridge High School/Glendale Community College. My son, Noah is 12 years old and loves all things video games and soccer. My daughter Zoe is 10 years old and is a craft and decor extraordinaire. Lastly we have attended Christ Church of the Valley (CCV Peoria) for the past 9 years.
As a family we enjoy traveling during our time off of school. In my free time I love to watch and play nearly any sport. I also have a deep passion for all things related to THE Ohio State University as I was raised in Ohio and the great city of Philadelphia where I attended college.

How did I start teaching:
I came to teaching with the goal of becoming the teacher I needed when I was a student. As a teacher I naturally believe in the importance of academics; however I firmly believe that the development of a student socially, emotionally, and spiritually trumps that of any letter grade I will ever give.
I hope my students learn to know that having a rough day, or rough situation is totally normal and does not make us different or lesser than others. It is part of our growth and is a journey I love taking with my students.
Favorite Subjects: My favorite subjects in school were Math, PE, and History.
Favorite Bible Verse: James 3: 9-10 “With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers this should not be”.
Fun Fact:My wife and I (ok probably just me, but my wife let me!) had a small piece of grass, from my childhood backyard (in Ohio), mailed to us in Arizona when my son and daughter were born. I used this piece of grass to hold a small “Ohio ceremony” in the hospital room to make sure our newborn children first touched Ohio soil first before they touched anything else. We are huge Buckeye fans!
