Get to know me!
About Me: My husband and I have been married for four years! We have a (almost) two year old daughter, a 3 year old chocolate lab and two chickens! One the weekends we enjoy grabbing a cup of coffee and exploring our local area. Both sides of our families live in vacation spots, Florida and Las Vegas, so we enjoy taking mini vacations to spend time with family.
Background: God called me to be a teacher at a young age. I started. volunteering in my churches children program when I was 12 years old. I quickly learned that teaching was my spiritual gift. God called me to attend Baptist Bible College where I played soccer and ran XC. I also met my amazing husband during the first month of freshman year. I started teaching in 2017 right after graduation. During my first year teaching I earned my Master’s in Eduction from Liberty University.
I completing my 5th year teaching this month! I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 4th. I have taught in both christian and charter schools.
Why did you choose teaching: It was a calling from God and one of my spiritual gifts. I also come from a family of educators.
Favorite Subjects: Social Studies/Government
Favorite Bible Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6
Fun Fact: When I was in 2nd grade I did the same curriculum that the students do here at the school!
