Get to know me!
About Me: I am an Arizona native, however did spend my college years in Oklahoma. My husband and I have been married for 10 years. We have 3 sons and a dog to keep us busy! At our house we enjoy sports, cars, and swimming.
Background: I have been teaching at Dream City (formerly Joy) for 13 years. Most of those years have been teaching 1st grade! I went to school at the University of Oklahoma where I completed my bachelors degree in Elementary Education and then my masters degree in Reading Education.
I have been teaching for 13 years. I’ve taught 1st grade and 4th grade. Being in an elementary classroom, I have taught all subject areas. I love being able to connect all of our subject areas throughout the day, especially relating everything back to our Bible truths.
How did you start teaching: I have always loved working with children. I started at a young age helping my mom during the summers work camps with young children. When I was old enough, I started teaching gymnastics classes and working summer camps. I always loved school and appreciated all that my teachers did for me. I knew I wanted to work with children, to help them learn, and to create an environment where they love to come each day!
Favorite Subjects: I loved math when I was a student. I love to teach science and social studies.

Fun Fact: I started gymnastics at age 8 and earned a full ride gymnastics scholarship to the University of Oklahoma.
